Antique Japanese Meiji Period Yatate Ink Well/Brush Holder, Circa 1880. The lidded, pierced and reticulated Ink Well having a long brush holder decorated with a mythical beast. The lid having an exotic bird finial, this Yatate is a table-top version rather than the smaller, personal brush pots that would be hung from a belt.
