Antique 17th Century Charles II Yorkshire Carved Inlaid Oak Wainscot Chair, circa 1670. A rare antique inlaid oak carved Wainscot chair, Charles II period, circa 1670. The chair having a carved top rail pediment, the back carved with fruiting vines & geometric devices. To the center of the chair back is an inlaid floral panel of ebony & various fruitwoods, the chair having scrolled arms with turned supports. Below the planked seat is a carved frieze, the chairs raised on turned legs with ribbed stretchers, pegged construction throughout. This chair is in good condition & is from the West Yorkshire area, most likely Leeds or Halifax.
