Antique French Walnut & Kingwood Bureau Plat Desk/Table Louis XV Style by Francois Linke (1855-1946), Circa 1905. A sumptuous bureau plat by one of the foremost makers of French furniture in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The desk having the original green leather with gilded tooling, the top edge with ormolu trim, having three drawers below with feather-banded veneers and ormolu trim and escutcheons, the desk having three original keys. The desk having ormolu mounts to the top of the out-swept legs and ormolu sabots to the feet. The desk having Linke's engraved signature on one of the gilded bronze mounts.
