A very good antique Cuban mahogany George III Regency period twin pedestal dining table, circa 1810.
The dining table with a rounded rectangular top with a reeded edge and an additional leave on substantial turned baluster pedestals each with four hipped and reeded sabre shaped legs terminating to brass caps and castors.
With the leaf removed each pedestal table has tilt-top mechanism and can be joined to form a smaller table, all the original brass handles & brass mechanisms are present and work with ease. The leaf is well supported with the original brass locking supports, when the leaf is locked is the table is very robust, level and a joy to sit at!
The table is in very good condition, the original finish has just been refreshed with a light repolish in Bloomsbury's professional restoration workshops. This very elegant antique dining table is ready to grace you home and receive your guests for dinner, the table would accomodate 12 people.
The table without the leaf is 60" long and 88" with the leaf inserted.
