ERTE (1892-1990) Born Romain de Tirtoff in imperial St. Petersburg, Russia, Erte derived his pen name from the French pronunciation of his initials "R.T."  Erte had a career that spanned eight decades he was a major influence on the style and design of the 20th Century. The designs created by Erte during his life influenced not only the world of theater, film and fashion, but an entire art movement as well. The genius of the artist is evidenced by an enormous body of work that is considered among the most influential and unique of the 20th century. His achievements earned him the title "Father of Art Deco."
An original limited edition bronze statue titled "Fire Leaves", incised edition number 156/500 and also having the artist's incised signature, the bronze produced by Dyansen Studio "Sevenarts London". The bronze is accompanied with a purpose built lucite stand, condition is excellent.
