Important Dame Lucie Rie Footed Porcelain Bowl, circa 1978. This rare and impressive Dame Lucie Rie porcelain bowl was purchased from the Westminster Gallery of Newbury Street, Boston, MA in 1981. The bowl was subsequently exhibited at the Westminster Gallery for a Lucie Rie retrospective in October, 1982. The bowl is accompanied with the original sales invoice and a copy of the agreement for the 1982 exhibition.

The bowl having a bronzed rim with drip glaze below and corresponding decoration to the interior, the pink body having incised pink lines. The interior having a bronzed well below a turquoise band and corresponding inlaid lines. The bowl standing on a bronzed foot below a ring of turquoise banding, impressed monogram to the underside. The bowl is in excellent condition.
