A fine & large antique Art Nouveau carved oak combination bookcase secretary/desk, 1890.
The two part bookcase secretary with a stepped crown to the top section with three glazed doors below, enclosing six adjustable shelves to receive even very large format books. The base with a locking fall front desk having a gilt leather writing surface with 18 pigeon holes and various storage files for correspondence and a pen tray, the desk also with two drawers with recessed brass handles, the fall front is flanked by twin cupboard doors each enclosing a single shelf. Below are two drawers and three cupboard doors enclosing shelves, condition is very good, this very elegant antique combination bookcase secretary is ready to grace your space.
