A fine antique carved walnut Black Forest jewelry casket, Brienz Switzerland, circa 1890.
The casket having a hinged lid carved with a pair of deer on a grassy outcrop and in front of a tree, below are four hinged storage boxes that swing outwards to reveal a storage area to the base, all have the original light green satin lining, when the lid is down the box locks the whole casket tightly. The box fronts and and sides of the box are skillfully carved with edelweiss flowers and the casket is raised on four carved branch & leaf decorated feet.
Condition is very good indeed, the casket is in fine antique condition.
