Antique Early 19th Century French Carved Oak Wedding Armoire Wardrobe Normandy 1820

A fine, elegant early 19th century antique French carved oak wedding armoire, Normandy, circa 1820. The armoire is very finely carved and has a arched and scroll carved cornice, below is a carved roundel with a flowering basket, the paneled doors below are also finely carved with floral arrangements, each door is fitted with a polished brass lock escutcheon and are fitted with a large pair of brass barrel hinges. The base of the doors are carved with two oval floral panels, the base has a shaped yoke and a carved floral roundel to the center, the armoire is raised on short scroll carved cabriole feet. The interior is fitted with three shelves, with the middle shelf fitted with a drawer, they can be easily removed to allow clothes to hang from a rail, the armoire has a warm mellow honey colored patina and is in excellent condition. The armoire has just received a wax polish in Bloomsbury's professional workshops, this very elegant antique armoire is ready to grace your space.
