Antique Austrian Mahogany Maple Inlaid Biedermeier Secretary Chest Cabinet 1850

A fine antique Austrian flame mahogany & bird's eye maple Biedermeier secretary cabinet, circa 1850.
The secretary cabinet is made of the finest flame mahogany, to the top is a carved rococo scrolled floral crest, which is flanked by a pair of tall turned finials rising above a pair of columns with carved corbel brackets to the top & base. 
Above the fall front is a single deep drawer, enclosed is an extravagant fitted interior with bird's eye maple drawers, to the center is a removable box with a carved gallery & a marquetry ebony inlaid 'trompe l'oeil' floor with a mirror to the back, behind is a bank of three secret drawers. The secretary has a sliding hinged fronted writing tray with an inset leather writing surface, below is a bank of three drawers, the cabinet is raised on carved bracket feet.
The cabinet is in  excellent condition, it is made from the finest materials & displays the remarkable skills of the cabinetmaker's art, it can be your every day desk and will accommodate the largest of laptops & provides lots of useful storage.
