The bronze is in excellent condition, the coldpainting is in excellent condition, no damage or restoration.

Franz Bergman (1861–1936) was an Austrian foundry owner famous for his innovative use of bronze casting and cold painting techniques. Operating out of his foundry in Vienna, Bergman produced a wide array of ornamental sculptures, from small-scale figurines to larger, more elaborate works. His creations often depicted animals, historical figures, and exotic themes, with an emphasis on realism and exquisite detail. The Franz Bergman foundry, also known as the Bergman Bronze Factory, became one of the most prominent bronze casting establishments in Europe during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The factory’s use of cold painting, a process where pigments are applied to cold, cast bronze to give it vivid color, set it apart from traditional bronze casting and brought an added layer of realism and dynamism to each piece.
