A good antique American oak Craftsman Mission fireplace mantel, circa 1900.
The fireplace is made from solid stained oak to the the top shelf is supported by two substantial 'Barley Twist' columns and also connects a shelf below that is supported with a pair of corbel brackets to the underside, the shelves are about 10" deep. To the top, the back is decorated with eight rectangular panels with raised 'pyarmid' shaped caps. The fireplace opening is 39.50" wide X 39.50" tall, the fireplace is raised on plain pilaster supports.
The mantel is in excellent condition there is no damage or restoration, all the finish is original and the mantel has a warm dark honey patina. The fireplace has the original metal fittings to attach the mantel to the wall.
This fine antique Craftsman fireplace mantel came from a very grand Craftsman Mansion built in 1900, located in Portland Oregon. It is ready to grace your home!
