A very elegant antique American Art Deco Sterling Silver 9 piece tray tea & coffee set, made by Richard Dimes Co and retailed By Hodgson Kennard Co, Boston, circa 1925.
The set comprising footed tray with handles, hot water kettle with cradle & spirit burner, tea pot and coffee pot, lidded sugar bowl, cream jug and slop bowl, none of the pieces are weighted all are solid sterling silver including the cradle & spirit burner. Each piece is original to the set and each item is marked with "Richard Dimes & Co" and the retailers stamp, plus each piece is stamped "Sterling". 

Richard Dimes' great grandfather also named Richard Dimes was an English silversmith who had immigrated to the U.S. in 1881, and lated started Towle's hollowware line. Dimes eventually founded his own company in the first quarter of the 1900s, Richard Dimes Co., in South Boston going on to establish himself as a one of the finest silversmiths in the US. Hodgson Kennard were high quality jewelers and retailers of high quality silver made by prominent makers of the day
