A very high quality antique American quarter sawn oak display cabinet, with 'Barley Twist' Columns, by The Paine Furniture Co., Boston Massachuchetts, circa 1890.
The cabinet with a stepped crown with a gilt border and a ogee shaped egg & dart frieze below, and flanked with a stylized carved floral motif above a pair of substantial turned barley twist columns. The columns are highlighted with gilded accent rings and terminate to corresponding elongated carved floral motifs & raised on bun and carved feet.
The glazed door having the original gilded cast bronze pull & lock plate with the original key, the door enclosing four adjustable tempered glass shelves, the sides of the cabinet are also glazed allowing the contents to be seen from three sides.
The cabinet is in excellent condition and is ready to grace your space.
