A good antique French Louis XIII style carved walnut bonnetiere armoire circa 1780.
The bonnetiere of unusual diminutive form, having a simple ogee shaped crown with twin doors below, each door is carved with three shaped panels. The doors enclose five shelves, the base shelf is a pseudo drawer with a hinged lid for storage, the cabinet is raised on scrolled feet.
Many of these late 18th century bonnetieres/armoires are of very tall and wide stature, this one is of more useful size and can be used in any room, the shelves are also easily removed. The bonnetiere is in very good condition and is ready to grace your home.
