Les Amoureux (The Lovers)

Created in 1959, this original color lithograph is hand signed in ink by Andre Masson (1896-1987) in the lower right margin. This is an artist proof from a numbered edition of 220 on Arches wove paper. Masson studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, in 1921 he moved to Paris and had a studio next door to Joan Miro.
