Antique English Sheraton Inlaid Mahogany Edwardian Silver-Plated Tantalus, circa 1890. A fine antique English Edwardian tantalus, circa 1890. The tantalus in the Sheraton Revival style and made from figured mahogany & inlaid with satinwood fan shaped motifs. The tantalus having a silver-plated carrying locking handle (lock & key work well), stamped with the maker's mark "J R & S", for John Round & Son of Sheffield. Also stamped with the maker's globe mark with the words "All the round", used between 1863-1897. The tantalus with the three original 'hobnail' cut crystal decanters & original facet cut stoppers. A very nice example in lovely condition.
