A fine antique original, authentic, Art Nouveau French cameo glass table lamp, signed Muller Freres, circa 1900.
Established in Lunéville, France, Muller Frères consisted of a group of brothers who had learned their trade from the great French glassmaker Émile Gallé. From 1905 to the 1930s, the brothers produced luxurious glass objects in the Art Nouveau style, and they developed rapidly into a company celebrated for their creative innovation and superior quality. Today, they are considered among the finest glassmakers of their generation.

This very beautiful cameo 'mushroom' shaped lamp is finely wheel carved & acid etched, depicting a very detailed landscape. The shade with a landscape of trees surrounding a lake, two figures are portrayed; one sitting and fishing the lake & the other female figure can be seen reaching into a tree, the base having corresponding tree decoration. Both the top and the base of the lamp are lit, the shade is supported with the original hand-forged iron supports with a iron cuff on the base. The lamps stands on a broad circular foot, the lamp is signed “Muller Freres Lunéville”, the lamp has been professionally rewired to American code, condition is very good there is no damage or repair noted.
