A large, rare & unusual antique 19th Century French grape picking basket from Chateau Margaux, Bordeaux, France, circa 1870.
This very large 19th century French footed vineyard basket used for harvesting grapes, with leather straps for carrying. Beautiful weave and in remarkably good condition.
The basket was gifted by a member of the Ginestet family (owners of Chateau Margaux, Bordeaux) in the early 1950's, and then passed by descent.
With a great history and in very good condition this basket would be a wonderful display item in your winery, bar, restaurant, shop or at home in your kitchen or wine cellar?
