An original antique Art Deco glass vase "Ormeaux", by Rene Lalique, 1926.
The vase from Rene Lalique's lifetime rather than one of the post 1945 vases, of which there many. The vase of globular form and having a flared neck, made of clear and opalescent glass. The vase having an allover leaves design, to represent young elm trees, or "Ormeaux" in French, which is the name of the vase.
The vase having an acid etched to the underside, "R.Lalique France No 984", the vase is in very good condition.
