A good antique Swiss Black Forest marquetry walnut tilt-top table, circa 1870.
The table having a shield shaped tilt-top, that locks in place when in the down position. The table is finely inlaid in fruitwoods, having a floral design enclosing a central panel of two deer; a doe & a buck. The table skirt is finely carved with pierced work and stands on a carved pedestal that is raised on a tripod base with carved legs. Condition is excellent throughout.
