A good antique 19th century South German marquetry walnut & fruitwood inlaid desk, circa 1850. The desk of serpentine shape & having a fold out desk writing surface which encloses drawers and a pigeonhole, below are twin drawers of serpentine shape the drawers and fall front are inlaid with foliate marquetry panels. The desk is raised on carved cabriole legs and is joined by a carved skirt.
Condition is very good, a nice example of an antique South German marquetry desk circa 1850
