(Sold) A fine & exceptional antique early 19th century Dutch Rococo marquetry inlaid cylinder bureau/desk, circa 1820. The desk is sumptuously and profusely inlaid with fruitwood marquetry inlay, the desk having a shaped and inlaid floral gallery, the top inlaid with twin oval floral marquetry panels. Below is a single drawer with the original lock and key, the cylinder front is fabulously inlaid with floral marquetry inlay and having a central panel of inlaid musical instruments. The interior with two short and one long drawer and twin pigeon holes with a locking door to the center, the pull out writing surface fitted with a green baize writing surface, the interior is also fully inlaid. The base is also fitted with a long drawer and raised on cabriole legs, condition is very good, the cylinder top runs smooth and this fabulous desk is ready to grace your home.
