A very good antique French carved walnut dessert server, buffet, liquor cabinet in the Renaissance Revival taste, circa 1880.
The carved back with a crest of twin cornucopia and a carved Fleur-de-Lis, flanked by two pairs of turned finials with a raised shelf supported by turned columns. The back having a spindled gallery plate rack with an incised carved panel behind, the top provides an excellent serving area made of Languedoc variegated red marble.
The base having twin carved drawers & twin carved cupboard doors enclosing storage perfect for wine or liquor bottles, the base with turned columns and corresponding legs. At the bottom is a storage board, the cabinet has all the original cast bronze hardware and the original key and is raised on bun feet.
Condition is very good indeed, the back and base are in two sections for ease of movement.
