Antique Swedish Golden Birch Ebony Biedermeier Fall Front Desk Secretary Chest

A fine and elegant antique first period Biedermeier golden birch & ebony secretaire abattant, circa 1820.
The cabinet is made from highly figured golden birch, the ogee shaped stepped top with a single drawer below, the fall front flanked by columns with ebony capitals and bases. The fall front encloses a fitted interior with a host of drawers, eighteen drawers to be exact, to the center is an arched locking door with a 'secret drawer' at each side, the drawers decorated with ebony gothic arches.
Below the desk are three drawers, the base drawer sits proud of the two above, the cabinet is raised on ebony block feet.
Condition is very good indeed, no condition issues or restoration, original finish. One of the finest antique Biedermeier secretary desks money can buy!
