A very good, long (8ft) antique American pine and maple Colonial style spindled back deacon's bench, most likely New England, circa 1840. The bench having a single back splat with turned spindles below and having 'bentwood' arm supports at each end. The bench having a long single board seat and raised on eight ring-turned legs, supported by spindled stretchers. The bench having a mellow honey colored finish and in very good condition, stable, robust, and ready to seat your guests.
