Antique Korean Elm Medicine Apothecary Cabinet Chest 88 Drawers Yakjang 1920

A good antique elm Korean medicine apothecary chest/cabinet, or Yakjang, circa 1920.
The cabinet is in two sections, the top is fitted with a piece of granite to place vessels and medicines when taken from one of the many drawers, the corners of the cabinet are fitted with reticulated & engraved brass brackets. The cabinet is fitted with a total of 88 drawers, each with the original iron handles and each drawer is painted with with Chinese characters to identify the herbal medicine contents. The base having twin cupboard doors with a large iron lock & iron 'Swallow Tail' hinges, the four drawers that surround the cupboard also having locks. The stand is also fitted with brass brackets and having a shaped skirt.
The cabinet comes from Gyeonggi province, the cabinet is in very good condition, no condition issues and is ready to grace your  space.
