A fine & rare antique rosewood Dutch marquetry side table, etagere, circa 1820.
This very elegant & rare table/etagere having a fold out top, the leaves when closed have sumptuous marquetry inlaid with twin flowering urns with caryatids & bordered with satinwood & ebony inlay. The leaves when open are supported with pull out lopers and the tops are inlaid with three oval cartouches; two horizontal and one vertical having floral inlay. The table has a single locking drawer with two more levels below that are inlaid with corresponding floral cartouches. The legs having chequered ebony and satinwood stringing, the table sides also decorated with marquetry.
Condition is very good indeed.
