A fine antique late 19th century Regency Revival inlaid mahogany china hutch cabinet in excellent condition, circa 1890.
The cabinet of serpentine shape including the glass panels, the top having a stepped crown with a single door below, the door with astragal molding shaped like the 'Brighton Pavilion' domes, which was created as a summer retreat for the Prince Regent, later to become King George IV. The door is inlaid with 'herringbone' inlay of ebony and satinwood the original lock & key are present, the door encloses two shelves, the interior of the cabinet & shelves are lined with the original green patterned satin fabric. The base of the door having an inlaid panel & encloses a storage cupboard, the door is flanked with two further inlaid panels, the cabinet is raised on gently out-swept cabriole legs with raised pad feet.
The cabinet is of the finest quality and is in excellent condition, all original and ready to grace your space.
