A very good antique American Colonial New England spindled & bentwood deacon's bench, circa 1880. The bench of unusual diminutive size (will comfortably seat at least two adults) and having a shaped crest back with turned spindles below, a pair of curved bentwood arms and a slatted seat, the bench is raised on turned legs and joined with turned stretchers.
The bench has a mellow honey color patina, it is very robust and stable and in excellent condition.
