Antique Welsh Carved Oak 8-Day Longcase/Grandfather Clock by Thomas Evans, circa 1770. The clock housed in a finely and deeply carved stained oak case, the hood having a carved cornice and a pair of figural carved columns. The silver dial having black Roman numerals and brass spandrels to each corner, the clock engraved "Thos Evans, Bont-Uchel." The body of the case with an Elizabethan female figure carved to the door and carved masks and entwined serpents to the base. The clock having the original weights & pendulum, works and keeps good time, it was recently cleaned and overhauled by a registered clocksmith.
