A good antique/vintage Persian Heriz carpet, circa 1940, approximately 8.5' x 11.5'.
The carpet having a very handsome well drawn design with a central medallion and ivory spandrels to each corner.
Heriz carpets are Persian carpets from the area of Heriz, East Azerbaijan in northwest Iran, northeast of Tabriz. These rugs are produced in the village of the same name in the slopes of Mount Sabalan. Heriz carpets are durable and hard-wearing and they can last for generations. This is a nice example in good condition, even pile throughout and ready to grace your home.
