An exceptional & monumental pair of antique Sevres style porcelain & ormolu hand-painted lidded urns, circa 1860.

Each urn having a cobalt blue ground with a domed top lid mounted with an ormolu 'pineapple' finial, below are twin ormolu handles with floral and acanthus decoration and a central floral rosette. The baluster shaped urns are very finely painted with harbor scenes and figures in 18th century dress, the urns having circular socle bases and raised on square ormolu plinths. The urns are of extraordinary quality and are in very good condition.
