"Poppies and Lupine," Oil on Panel by California Impressionist John Marshall Gamble (25 Nov, 1863 - 7 Apr 1957), Circa 1915. The painting of a field of poppies and lupine to the fore with a lake and mountainous landscape behind, the painting housed in the original frame and bearing a placard with the artist's name.
John Gamble held memberships with the San Francisco Art Association and the Santa Barbara Art Association. He won the Gold Medal Award at the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition, Seattle 1909.
