A fine original tall Gio Ponti for Venini "Morandiane" Murano Glass Bottle with Stopper, Signed and dating from 1955.

A striking & elegant Gio Ponti & Paolo Venini for Venini, tall “A Canne” red & green striped bottle or decanter with matching stopper, 18.75” tall. This was part of the "Morandiane" range created in 1955 in the Venini workshop in Murano Italy, an island off Venice. Murano glass is world renowned. Gio Ponti had a long and fruitful relationship with Paolo Venini, starting in the 1950s, creating beautiful glass pieces such as this. 

The bottle & stopper having a ground pontil mark to the base & the original Label "Venini, Murano Venezia, Made in Italy" on black and white paper stock label. This label was only used from 1955 - 1970, there also seems to be an etched signature under the paper label. Condition is excellent no damage or restotration. This wonderful iconic piece of Italain Mid Century design is ready to grace your space.
