Antique 19th Century Chinese Qing Dynasty Carved Ebonized Rosewood Chair, Circa 1890. The chair having a tablet-shaped backsplat decorated with Chinese immortals in a cloudscape surrounded by mythical beasts. The arms having reticulated and scrolled carving and the base having corresponding carving to the body of the chair. The verso of the chair having Chinese characters carved to the backsplat. The legs joined by a rectangular stretcher.
