Pair of Antique Art Deco Gilded Bronze & Marble Female Nude Statue Bookends, 1920s

A good & rather beautiful pair of antique Art Deco gilded metal/bronze/spelter female nude figural bookends, circa 1925. Each bookend is modeled as a kneeling female nude, gently scooping water from a well. Each figure is raised on a geometric black marble bookend plinth and is stamped "Germany" to the underside of the foot.
