A fine antique Pre-Revolution Russian Imperial silver-gilt & cloisonné enamel coin purse/case, Moscow, 1899.
The purse with the maker's mark in Cyrillic and the assayer's mark for Ivan Lebedkin Sergeyevich (active 1898-1914), the silver-gilt body is richly embellished with diagonal stripes of multi-colored floral & foliate enamel decoration, The interior is lined with royal blue satin concertina shaped coin pockets and the original beveled mirror, the coin purse is stamped at one end with both the maker's & assayer's marks, Moscow Kokoshnik mark.
The press button opens the purse with ease and it snaps shut tight also, condition is excellent, no damage or restoration. 93 grams silver weight. A fine antique Russian silver-gilt & cloisonné coin purse.
Provenance; From a Russian family who emigrated to San Francisco in 1906 and has passed through family descent since that time
