A good, antique, large, late 17th Century Florentine Baroque carving of a putto, Italy, circa 1680. This very handsome carved Baroque putto was once an architectural element from a very grand Florentine palazzo. The carving depicts a putto holding a curtain and having one end draped over his shoulder, the sculpture can be displayed freestanding or can be mounted to a wall, there is a eye hook to the rear.

Some evidence of a couple of historic repairs and some ancient obsolete insect holes, however condition is very good, over 28" (71cm) tall.
