A good & large 19th century antique brass Hindu temple altar shrine, circa 1880.
The shrine in two sections with a domed top and a turned & pointed finial, below is a shaped gallery with smaller corresponding finials at each corner. The base with four Prabhavali shaped arches supported by turned columns, surrounded with another gallery also mounted with finials, the rear of the shrine with a backplate with punch engraved decoration of a mandala. The shrine is raised on a stepped base with four cast brass paw feet.
The shrine will easily receive a 16"+ statue, condition is very good.
