A fine quality antique Georgian Regency period flame mahogany drop leaf Pembroke table, circa 1810.
The table is made from the very finest Cuban flame mahogany and has two substantial drop leaves that are supported by hinged brackets, the table is very sturdy when the leaves are extended. At each end the table has a single drawer, each with a pair of round gilded brass pulls, the table is flanked with two carved & beaded rectangular devices.
The elegant base with a baluster shaped pedestal with gadrooned molding & a rectangular shaped octagonal platform below, the table is raised on four pronounced curled legs terminating to brass caps & castors.
Condition is excellent, original finish and hardware, this very elegant late Georgian table is ready to grace your space.
The table with leaves extended is 42.25" wide.

The Pembroke table derives its name from Henry Herbert, 9th Earl of Pembroke (1693–1751), a noted connoisseur & amateur architect.
