An incredible antique 19th century Naples porcelain/Capodimonte 215 piece dinner & tea/coffee service, "Au Roi de Rome" (King of Rome). Made to celebrate the birth of the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte's son in 1811, Napoleon-François-Charles-Joseph Bonaparte.
The service is of monumental scale each piece is decorated in relief with Bacchic scenes of garlanded figures in various landscapes. All of the plates, saucers and serving pieces having the Imperial Coat of Arms of the French First Empire (1804-1815), under Napoleon Bonaparte.
All 215 pieces are marked to the base with the Naples Porcelain blue crown over a blue "N" stamp and written in gilt "Au Roi de Rome Naples 1811".  The tureens and lidded soup bowls are also decorated to the interior with floral sprigs & the Imperial coat of arms. Each tazza/stand are raised on bacchantes figures, the set is in remarkable condition.
